This course reviews the importance of setting goals and reviews the SMART system for writing goals. There are opportunities for learners to test their knowledge during the course. At the end of the course, learners write a goal and self-evaluate to verify their goal is specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound.

Oral communication is a critical component of architectural education. In design studio courses, students present their work both informally and formally to classmates, professors, and invited guests throughout the semester. For many students, the experience is overwhelming as they are uncomfortable with public speaking and don't know what to say.
I developed a three-week mini-course for first-year design students focusing on presenting their work in a design studio. "The Role of Speech in the Field of Architecture" eLearning module was included in the first week of the course. The course development plan for the "Oral Communication for the First Year Design Student" course can be viewed here.

I speak with many students who are interested in becoming licensed architects but few understand the process of obtaining a license to practice architecture. Hearing all of the details at once can be overwhelming. The goal of this asset was to present the information in a way that does not overwhelm students as well as provide sources for students to research additional information on their own.
Since requirements can change, I limited the amount of detailed information in the eLearning module and focused on presenting an overview of the process. I included links so students could access the most current information.
