Client: Organize Me Sally
I was responsible for all aspects of this project including the development of the script, storyboard, slide deck, narration, and video production.
The idea for the video started with a speech the client wrote and presented at an event several years ago. The client's inspiration was the death of her father, the process of parting with his record albums, and finding a home for the albums while honoring the memory of him. Her original speech was well received and generated several new clients. COVID-19 severely impacted the client's business and there was a desire to use different media to acquire new clients.
The process began with revising the script to add additional details about her typical clients and their struggles, as well as including details about how to part with items while honoring the memory of a loved one. I added the first draft of the script to the storyboard and started working on the visuals using Canva to create the slide deck. The client prefers a very clean, modern aesthetic, so I designed the slides to be very simple, selecting images reflecting this aesthetic as well as the mood of the video. The client provided input on the first draft of the storyboard and we finalized the slide deck and script after just two working sessions.
I downloaded the slide deck and imported it into Camtasia. The narration was recorded and edited in Audacity then imported into Camtasia. The slide deck and audio track were synched and transitions were added.
